Maryville, TN
My parents moved back to Tennessee when I came to college. It is weird not going back to where all my friends are, but I love being here. I enjoy seeing my parents garden, build and create new things (my dad bales hay!). I hope as I get older I do not stop doing new things and exploring possibilities, as cliche as it sounds. I love when people are curious and fearless enough to turn away from a scenario that is okay, comfortable and good for the sake of something exciting, challenging and better.
It's funny how hard it is to make that shift. One of my "strengths" is "adaptability", but I always dread a big change before it happens. It is so easy to settle into what is in front of me. However, I love it when the change actually takes place. My negative or fearful expectations always lie to me.
Hopefully I will learn to stop listening to them.
